Man arrested for DUI twice in one night
Police say Albert Metz Jr. posted bail on the first arrest Sunday night and was picked up again about three hours later after he drove away from the county jail in Casper.According to court papers, Metz told the second arresting officer that he had been in jail and had not been drinking in there.
The Casper Star-Tribune reports Metz pleaded not guilty Tuesday to the misdemeanors.
Two years ago, the state Legislature rejected a proposed measure that would keep drunken driving and public intoxication suspects in jail until they sobered up.
